Due to this outbreak of COVID-19 almost every company has suggested their employees to work from home. Working from home (WFH) will create social distancing amongst the people & help the world go back to normal. Keeping this is mind is working from home as easy as it sounds?
It is important that you follow some kind of routine in order to keep your self productive & up to date with your work. We have listed a few ways which will help you increase your productivity & activeness at home.
1. Set a schedule Set a regular timing for what to do and when to do, and stick to it. It’s important that you train your brain that you are not on a holiday but merely at home working.
2. Include some good habits in morning routine A 10-15 min yoga session can help you stay all fresh. Staying fresh is extremely important when working from home. Keeping your mind fresh & focused is as important as keeping your body fresh, a good way to keep your mind fresh & focused is to play light music in the background. This will not only lift up your mood, but will also help you be more creative.
3. Breaks are important Studies have shown, taking breaks while working improves productivity levels, and increases the ability to focus. Therefore, it is important that you take breaks, which will help you regain your focus. A good rule of thumb is to have a 10 Minute break every 1 hour. A break could mean making yourself a cup of coffee or even playing with your pets.
4. Set your work space, away from personal space As you are working at home, it’s important that you realise that your personal space is different from your work space. Both these spaces needs to be operated in a different way. Try to keep your work station away from noisy or most used places & try to put it closer to a window for natural light.
